ABOUT

We deliver engineering design, analysis and manufacturing services. You will benefit from the skills of a race winning team, with experience at the highest levels of motorsport, led by a chartered engineer.

Dunbar Race Engineering Ltd was formed in 2018 delivering design and reverse engineering services to the motorsport market. The company was started by Duncan Dunbar after he left Mercedes F1 to focus on his own racing projects. This led to taking on projects for customers and design consultancy projects relating to high efficiency internal combustion engines, an area of expertise from previous roles.

In spring 2022 the company had out grown it's 'home workshops' and moved to an industrial unit with space to accommodate a new CNC machining centre, inspection equipment and first member of staff. 2022 has been a year of growth, developing our processes and 3 & 4 axis machining capabilities. We also fabricate motorcycle chassis and other parts specialising in aluminium TIG welding and steel brazing with the highest levels of craftsmanship.

Our aim is to deliver excellent engineering from design through to manufacture and inspection. We are not exclusively a racing company. We take the attention to detail and drive we've got for racing and use it to deliver design projects and manufacture products for a wide range of mechanical systems.
