Kawasaki Cable Clutch for ZXR750 and ZX7RR

Race ZXR750: 'Original Spec'

This cable clutch kit has a mounting bracket which picks up on 4 bolt holes on the clutch inner casing. The lever arm assembly attaches to the mounting bracket, which has an extra support for the clutch push rod mounted against the casing. There is an adjuster screw and stainless steel ball which acts on the push rod. The lever bracket and arm are machined from billet 2014-T6 high strength aluminium alloy. Comes with cable stop and bolts.

Push rod is silver steel, hardened at one end; kit clutch length 291mm, standard clutch length 289mm - please specify your requirement.  

For race application when the generator is removed. Generator blanking plates also available.

Race ZXR750: 'Cranked Lever Arm' spec

Exactly as above with the exception of a 'cranked' lever arm which tucks up inside the frame. This allows the cable to sit flat of the top of the gearbox casing, useful if a very deep air box is being used.

The cranked lever arm is longer than the 'original' system giving a lighter clutch pull. It dispenses with the cable stop bracket and uses the rear generator mounting lug. 

Both ZXR options give a progressive clutch feel, the standard setup (DUN7001_01) isn't a heavy clutch, but this one is lighter. It's down to preference.

Race ZX7R and ZX7RR: This cable clutch kit mounts directly onto existing lugs on the clutch inner casing. It consists of lever arm with steel ball fitting, cable connector, mounting pin and angled cable stop.

Suitable for both ZX7R and ZX7RR models. Supplied with a silver steel push rod hardened at one end. The cable stop mounts on the casting for the generator.

For race application when the generator is removed. Generator blanking plates also available.

Road ZX7R and ZX7RR:

Option A - Generator in situ-fitment

  • Fitment without the requirement to remove the generator. The upper right bolt (as pictured) can’t be removed when the engine is in the frame.

  • The cable stop bracket is stainless steel and has one-hole, upper left bolt, and a slot for the upper right bolt.

    • Uses existing bolts.

  • Dog leg lever arm to clear the generator.

  • Supplied with push rod for a standard clutch L275.5 +/-0.5

    • Alternative length for kit clutch upon request.​​

  • Cable has a mid-way adjuster

Option B - Access to generator bolts required / partial generator removal

  • Fitment requires generator partially removed or engine out frame.

    • If engine is in frame: bolts slackened then generator pulled out and turned anti-clockwise in the frame.

    • Longer bolt and cable stop bracket fitted upper right location. Matching bolt for upper left also supplied.

    • Replace generator taking care not to snag o-ring at rear.

  • Aluminum cable stop bracket aligns with side of generator.

  • Dog leg lever arm to clear the generator.

  • Supplied with push rod for a standard clutch L275.5 +/-0.5

    • Alternative length for kit clutch upon request.​

  • Cable has a mid-way adjuster
